From an early age, Ben Resnick displayed a natural aptitude for drawing. Over time, his talents have been honed by an expanding interest in the visual arts and the creative power

of multimedia.

Formally trained in the fine arts and graphic design, Ben's skills in digital art and animation are largely self-taught. Able to adapt to the various challenges presented by different media, he attends to tasks with focus and determination. Ben's personal art is informed by a vivid imagination, an interest in fantasy literature, and an appreciation for history.

Ben graduated valedictorian from Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa, with a BFA in Art and a BA in Philosophy.

CommandANT is a fictional computer game invented by Ben Resnick for his senior performance at Clarke College. Imagined as a real-time strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by ants, the CommandANT concept served as a basis for the creation of promotional media including posters, packaging, and a website.

This illustration was created for the computer roleplaying game Geneforge 5 published by independent developer Spiderweb Software, Inc. The game is set in a fantasy world in which individuals known as Shapers acquired the gift of forming and controlling creatures out of pure will. These life forms, known as Creations, were used as servants by the authoritarian Shapers before they rebelled in a brutal uprising. This conflict developed into a long and bloody war whose ultimate resolution is determined in Geneforge 5, the final installment in the Geneforge series.

This illustration was created for the computer roleplaying game Avernum 5 published by independent developer Spiderweb Software, Inc. The game is set in a fantasy world in which two divided societies exist: the Empire that rules over the world of the surface, and the Avernites that dwell in exile in the subterranean complex of Avernum. The enmity between these two factions is ignited when an assassin attempts to kill the Empress and seeks refuge in the deep caverns of Avernum. The player guides an Imperial adventuring party determined to brave any dangers to mete out justice upon the villain.

This animation was created for the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque, Iowa. It is an instructional video describing how water mills processed grain for the purpose of making flour.

This animation was commissioned by Ben's brother, Tom Resnick, as a visualization of a character concept he designed for his video game project Lex Animus.

This effects sequence was created for a film project undertaken by Ben's brother, Matt Resnick. The characters in the scene are the adventurous Explorer Matt (played by Matt Resnick) and his clever sidekick Safari James (played by cousin James Resnick).

This layout was designed for a student project. It is a magazine article describing the creative process behind the making of a video game cinematic for Warhammer: Mark of Chaos.

This standards manual was designed for a student project. It includes exact specifications for all aspects of Introversion's brand identity, such as logo construction and usage.

This layout was designed for a student project. It is a redesign of the 2007 annual report of The Walt Disney Company. A constant theme in the report is commentary from Jiminy Cricket, a cartoon character from Disney's Pinocchio. Jiminy was a logical choice to serve as a guide for the reader because of his roles as Pinocchio's "conscience" and as presenter in several of Disney's educational shorts.
